Description
Industrial Salt – Sodium Chloride for Swimming Pool
Industrial salt is added to the pool water in a saltwater pool system. A saltwater chlorinator uses the salt to produce chlorine through a process called electrolysis. The electrolysis converts the salt (sodium chloride) into chlorine, which sanitizes the pool water.
By using saltwater chlorination, the need for manually adding chlorine to the pool is reduced. The chlorine levels in the pool remain consistent, and the water is kept clean and safe for swimming.
The saltwater system helps maintain a more stable level of chlorine in the pool, meaning there is less need for harsh chemicals that are often used in traditional chlorine pools.
Saltwater pools are often gentle on the skin, eyes, and hair compared to pools using high levels of chlorine. The water feels softer and less harsh on swimmers.
